These days the term "Diva" gets way over-used. Whether the press is talking about Paris or Britney or Lindsey, they all should step aside and let a true diva walk on by. Raised in the music rich Fifth Ward district of Houston, Lynn has conquered all styles of music in her career, but backed by the Calvin Owens Blues Orchestra on this outing, Lynn absolutely shines on every track offered here.

Doesn't make any difference if it's the funk filled Swing Boogie to the slow soulful R&B of I'm Still Here, Lynn glides from style to style with the ease only a true Diva can accomplish.

I cannot pick out one song to focus on or pick as my favorite, they are all that good. Trudy Lynn is a highly talented singer with a voice that can range from silk to guttural growl, but feels most at home on the R&B of her childhood. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
