This terrific DVD is the one I've been waiting for. Recorded live at the Sierra Nevada Brewery, it offers a typically over the top show from Rod, Honey & the Flyers. It is well recorded, with great sound in Dolby Digital Stereo & Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround.

The production is tops, with good lighting, and no gimmicky stuff; it presents the band in their domain as a top group playing the Blues. Rod Piazza is a smooth as they come and he shows his harp playing to great advantage on this production. The beautiful Miss Honey pounds the keyboards and shows the best left hand in the business-a real machine, as strong as can be. She doesn't do her Standing-on-the-piano-stool routine. I would have liked to show my friends that little deal. They never believe me. Still, I don't want her to fall off the stool. Her playing is superb!

Henry Carvajal, on guitar, is never overbearing, yet he handles it all with a cool, West Coast hipness that runs in this band. Perennial favorite, bass player Bill Stuve is as good as it gets. Rod has rounded out this group with a great drummer-Paul Vincent Fasulo, who is tight and lean. The group never sounded or looked better than here. Enjoy this with friends, who just might learn something about Blues-that it's not all sad songs and old men. Rod Piazza is tops! This is a must have for Blues fans.
