You will see what a real Blues gathering is all about. Smokin’ is the name and Blues is the game. This is one of the best live performances of live Blues on DVD. Time must be spent on telling you about this great rhythm section of Paul Jenkins on bass and Ralph Powers on drums. Never have I heard a more precise rhythm section, and it is to their credit that this DVD-live performance works so well.

This DVD is an extension, but even more than that, it’s a revelation over and above the CD. The DVD seems to have more emotion and gut-feeling than the CD. You will hear some great singing and guitar, but, more than that, this Blues is about today. This is what these guys, and more artists like them, need to be doing - making something that is visual and is a true representation of their onstage act. The world is currently digital, visual, and immediate. Too many acts are missing this boat. If even non-Blues fans ever get a whiff of this stuff, Blues is on the road to a comeback. Let’s face it, folks, Blues sells less that 1 % of all music sold in the USA. Isn’t it time that we take that back?
