Ruf Records has released this DVD, featuring Bernard Allison & his band appearing in at least two venues in Europe. This is a HOT DVD! If you haven't seen Bernard play, get set for some fireworks. Mostly his own material and his father's, the late, great Luther Allison, Bernard Allison strikes a not that is his and his alone. Long time fans will appreciate the combination of his and his father's tunes. He makes his father's tunes his own, and expands greatly on those tunes. The guitar work is the focus of the performance, with special emphasis on his development as a more specialized guitar player. His runs and timing are magnified by his band, consisting of Mike Vlahakis on keyboards, Jassen Wilber on bass, and Andrew Thomas on drums.

This DVD has 14 tunes that will kick you every time you hear them. Bernard is loved in Europe, and this production should be an essential part of your Blues library of DVDs. We applaud Ruf Records for putting their artists on DVD. For fans that can't get out & hear their favorites, DVDs make so much sense. How better to listen and watch a performance by a great artist like Bernard Allison than with this medium.
