Tommy Castro's unique brand of infectious Soul Rock is put together so tightly here that you just want more and more. Edgy guitar and tough and tender lyrics come from this man so effortlessly and, more than that, the tight and smooth arrangements make this a CD that you must have. Absolutely! Magnificently produced and engineered by John Porter, (Los Lonely Boys, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Elvis Costello, and Buddy Guy), it's got all the right stuff. Coco Montoya appears on the Albert Collins "A Good Fool Is Hard To Find". Angela Strehli vocals on "If You Believe" and Teresa James plays piano & vocals on "Goin' Down South".

Castro's great band includes Randy McDonald on bass, Keith Crossan on saxes, and Chris Sandoval on drums. David Maxwell lends his great piano on "It Ain't Easy Bein' Me". Tom Poole & Keith Crossan provide tight horn arrangements that don't overshadow but punch where they need to. Our favorites are "Big Sister's Radio", "A Good Fool Is Hard To Find", "Err On The Side Of Love", and "If You Believe". All in all, there is so much great musicianship here; it's hard not to want to listen to this over & over again. This will stay on our playlist for a long, long time.
